Build an Exceptional Tech Brand
Am I the right designer for you?
You are an established or aspiring entrepreneur and have a product in need of an outstanding visual identity. Maybe you’ve been burned by a designer in the past who didn’t know how to communicate properly, wasn’t meeting the deadlines, or just couldn’t fully understand the project.
I work differently. I work closely with you to build an exceptional tech brand.
Whether you are a startup or a small business, I can help you communicate with the use of creative design. A logo design, naming or renaming project, stationery design, tagline development, and all other identity materials are under a scope of what I can do for you depending on what your situation calls for.
The on-boarding process begins once you fill out the contact form. From there, we’ll schedule a 30-minute introductory call that will help in understanding what you’re trying to get done and whether we are a good fit. The main goal is to figure out where you are now and where you’d like your business to be in the future. I want to help you accomplish your long-term goals and not waste your time and money on things you don’t need.
We’ll get in touch through phone, Skype, or Zoom, whichever way works best for you. If you want to do it over email, I am fine with that as well.
Once the on-boarding process is done, I’ll create a proposal for a few different options to choose from. The proposal will include information about the deliverables, timeline, pricing, payment schedule and terms.
I offer project pricing instead of hourly pricing. Doing so allows you to know exactly how much you’ll be paying for the project. You won’t have to worry about hourly rates and unexpected cost overruns. I believe that hourly pricing puts us in the opposition to each other from the very beginning. You are incentivized to keep hours down, so you pay less, and I am incentivized to work as many hours as possible to profit more from the project. That’s not the type of relationship I like to have with my clients, so I price with value in mind and set the price from the start.
The proposal will outline a choice of packages. The packages vary based on the scope of the work, each with a set of deliverables greater than the next.
The typical project ranges between $1,500 and $4,000.
The standard payment plan requires 50% of the total project price as a deposit before starting the project, and the remaining 50% balance to be paid upon delivering the final files. The payment can be processed through PayPal, Transferwise, Bitcoin, or bank wire transfer.
Collaborative design process with no surprises
The first step of the design process is to research your industry and competition. Having a good overall picture of the industry allows me to figure out the best way to differentiate your business and make its identity unique.
Next step involves developing a stylescape. It is basically a collection of images, fonts, and objects that will help define the direction we want to go in. This will give you a sense of what I am going to deliver.
Once you approve the stylescape, I’ll start brainstorming and sketching ideas. After I am done sketching on paper, the process of digitalizing sketches can begin.
Experimenting with different fonts and choosing the 3 options that best reflect your brand is the next step. After that, I’ll create a presentation for these ideas that will explain the thought process and meaning behind the designs.
You’ll receive a recorded video presentation including the PDF that you can review at your convenience. When I present the identity design choices, I present them in context so you’ll have an idea of what your brand will look like in the real world. For example, I will be showing you how your logo will look like on social media channels and your website, or how your business card will look like when printed.
I am not exaggerating by saying that 95% of the clients love at least of the proposed ideas. If by chance you belong to the 5%, we’ll continue working together until we find the perfect match. I’ve never had a client who didn’t love at least of the ideas from the second round.
Finalizing the project and staying organized
When you choose the design you want to proceed with, I’ll start preparing all of the files. For file delivery, I use Google Drive to keep everything organized and store everything related to the project; logo files, documents, presentations, etc. You’ll always have access to your project files when you need them. If you’ve ever needed a file only to find that the person in your organization that has access to them doesn’t work for you anymore, then you’ll appreciate being able to be in control of all of your assets.
